Turner was born and raised in Woodbridge Va. Being the product of a broken family, he poured himself into a life apart from God. In November of 1988 at the age of 17 he was invited to go to a church home-group where his life was touched by God in a powerful, unexpected way, and he would never be the same. Shortly after, he sensed the call of God on his life to teach and preach the gospel, with a burden for young people. Although he has spent time in many aspects of ministry, including a church plants in Russia and the United States, most of his formal work and passion is with youth. Turner desires to see youth step into fulfilling relationships with God through Worship, the Word, and Relationships. He joined Cornerstone's staff as Middle School Youth Pastor in June 2006.

Turner and his wife Jen have been married since 1996, and have three children: Maggie (1999), Luke (2004), and Samantha (2005).

Turner enjoys spending time with his family, riding his Harley Davidson, playing guitar and eating sushi with Jen.
