Pat Edwards - Director of Children's Ministry

Pat Edwards has a bachelor’s degree in Missions from United Wesleyan College in Allentown, Pennsylvania and a master's degree in School Administration from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She joined the Cornerstone staff in 1997, following 24 years of experience in the field of Christian education. During that time she worked with infants, taught pre-school and kindergarten, moved into the role of director of a Christian day-care center and eventually became administrator of an elementary school. Shortly after joining Cornerstone Chapel, she used these gifts to set up the Heaven Sent Pre-School ministry.

Pat was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and grew up in the Ohio Valley area. Although she was not raised in a Christian home, God provided Christian families to nurture and guide her during her formative years. She was saved at a church youth camp event and regularly attended the Pioneer Club group until graduating as a Wing Guide. During this time, her Pioneer group leader became her spiritual mother and mentor.

Pat's call to work with children came at the age of 16 while she was sitting at her kitchen table one day, gazing out the window and thinking about Jesus. That still small voice spoke to her heart and she knew this was what the Lord was asking her to do for Him. Since then she has enthusiastically devoted her life to His call.
