Pastor Gary has served in full-time ministry since 1987. For the first four years of ministry he was a youth pastor to high school teens, and then in 1991 he began pastoring Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia where he continues to serve. From the humble beginnings of just a few families gathering for Sunday worship in a school, Cornerstone has now become a church home to hundreds of families. It is Pastor Gary's desire to equip them through the teaching of God's Word and to encourage them in heartfelt worship of our Lord Jesus Christ.
After committing his life to the Lord at a youth retreat when he was 15, Gary began sensing a call into the ministry. But after graduating from high school he initially denied that calling and pursued a Journalism track in college with aspirations of becoming a broadcast journalist. However, when he finally realized that the greatest fulfillment and joy in life come from being in the center of God's will, Gary changed schools, pursued the call to ministry, completed a Bachelor of Biblical Studies, and was ordained by Calvary Chapel Outreach Fellowships of Costa Mesa, California.
Pastor Gary has been married to Terri since 1987, and together they've been blessed with three wonderful children—Tyler, Austin, and Lindsey.
He enjoys fishing, camping, racquetball, tennis and umpiring Little League Baseball. Some might call his taste for Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Donuts an "addiction", but Pastor Gary prefers to call it "manna from heaven."
